Healthcare Project Engineer, Electrical Projects
AlphaHireProject Engineer supporting large-scale commercial electrical construction projects with exposure to healthcare and institutional builds. Collaborating closely with Project Managers and field teams.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support commercial electrical projects from preconstruction through closeout alongside Project Managers and field leadership
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement tracking, and project documentation management
- Coordinate with field teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to maintain project flow and communication
- Review construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and electrical documentation for accuracy and coordination
- Track project progress, material deliveries, manpower updates, and schedule milestones across active projects
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and coordination efforts with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain organized project records, logs, and reporting throughout the construction lifecycle
- Assist with cost tracking, billing support, forecasting updates, and project status reporting
- Help identify and resolve field coordination issues, scheduling conflicts, and documentation gaps
- Support multiple commercial electrical projects simultaneously in a fast-paced construction environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience in commercial construction, electrical construction, or project engineering environments
- Experience working for an electrical contractor, general contractor, or specialty subcontractor preferred
- Understanding of commercial construction processes, project documentation flow, and field coordination
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced project environment
- Must be comfortable supporting active field operations and interacting with superintendents, foremen, and project teams
- Commercial construction experience is required; residential-only experience will not be considered.
