About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain deep expertise in U.S. GAAP revenue recognition, including ASC 606 and SaaS subscriptions
Interpret and analyze customer contracts to extract key financial and accounting implications
Lead the monthly close and reporting process (revenue and expense), including journal entries, account reconciliations, and review of staff work
Assist the Controller in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and maintaining strong internal controls across all accounting processes
Apply accounting guidance to complex scenarios and prepare clear, well-supported technical memos
Support and contribute to the annual audit process
Partner cross-functionally to improve processes across the revenue cycle
Directly manage, coach, develop, and evaluate accounting personnel
Drive enhancements in systems and processes, including ERP implementation efforts
Lead or support special projects as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
8+ years of progressive accounting experience
6+ years of hands-on experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and transactional accounting
4+ years of deep technical experience with strong working knowledge and practical application of ASC 606
1+ years of people-management experience
CPA strongly preferred
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-growing, dynamic environment
Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with strong problem-solving ability
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate insights clearly to management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build cross-functional relationships
Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
Experience with financial systems (Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Workday) preferred
Experience with system implementations preferred
Familiarity with or curiosity about leveraging Microsoft 365 Copilot preferred
