About the role
- Monitor, analyze, and investigate accounts and behavioral data to identify potential fraud
- Use SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets for fraud detection and prevention
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and fraud monitoring tools
- Support creation of fraud detection rules and alerts
- Collaborate cross-functionally with account management, data, product, and engineering teams to improve fraud controls
- Document and report findings, providing actionable insights to stakeholders
- Assist in identifying emerging fraud trends and recommend proactive countermeasures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical user issues
- Experience analyzing large datasets and identifying trends or anomalies
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis, statistical modeling, or machine learning (strong plus)
- Demonstrated experience in meeting or exceeding KPIs, multi-tasking, and prioritising workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English
- Ability to be present in the Berlin office every weekday (team culture requirement)
- Willingness to work cross-functionally with Support, Account Management, Data, Product, and Engineering teams
