About the role

  • **Test Scenario Development**: Design and document detailed test scenarios based on the systems' functional and technical specifications.
  • **Execution of Functional and Non-Functional Tests**: Perform manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure systems meet requirements for performance, security, usability, and functionality.
  • **Test Automation**: Develop and maintain automated test scripts to ensure tests are executed efficiently and continuously, using appropriate tools.
  • **Test Data Preparation**: Create, manipulate, and maintain test data to ensure the test environment closely matches production.
  • **Support in Defect Identification and Analysis**: Triage and analyze defects found during testing, collaborating with development teams for quick and effective resolution.
  • **Quality Assurance**: Ensure that all system, portal, and solution deliveries meet expected quality standards, with a focus on reducing post-production errors and failures.
  • **Test Documentation**: Create and maintain clear and accurate documentation of the tests performed, including results and failure evidence.
  • **Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams**: Work closely with developers, requirements analysts, and other IT team members, ensuring effective communication about test progress and issues found.
  • **Continuous Process Improvement**: Actively participate in the continuous improvement of testing processes, continually seeking to evolve the techniques and tools used.

Requirements

  • **Test Automation Tools**: Experience with tools such as **Selenium**, **JUnit**, **TestNG**, **Cucumber**, **Appium**, among others, for creating and executing automated tests in web and mobile environments.
  • **Test and Defect Management Tools**: Proficiency in test management and defect tracking platforms to document, monitor, and report test progress and issue resolution.
  • **HCL Platforms**: Familiarity with **HCL Digital Experience**, **HCL Commerce**, **HCL AppScan**, and other tools in the HCL ecosystem applied to testing and test automation for corporate portals.
  • **Databases and SQL**: Knowledge of **SQL** for creating and manipulating test data in relational databases, ensuring the accuracy of test data sets.
  • **CI/CD Tools**: Experience with continuous integration platforms such as **Jenkins**, **Azure DevOps**, or **GitLab CI** to integrate automated tests into the development pipeline.
  • **Programming and Scripting**: Knowledge of programming languages such as **Java**, **Python**, **JavaScript**, or others relevant to test automation.
  • **Performance and Load Testing**: Ability to perform performance, load, and stress tests using tools like **JMeter**, **LoadRunner**, or similar.
  • **Log Analysis and Debugging**: Ability to analyze system logs and perform debugging to identify the root cause of critical issues.
  • **Functional and Non-Functional Testing**: Competence in performing regression, integration, security, and usability testing, as well as system testing across different layers and environments.
  • **Nice to have:**
  • ISTQB Certification: ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation Level or Advanced Level) is highly recommended, validating understanding of testing processes and techniques.
  • HCL Certification: Specific certifications in HCL technologies, such as HCL Digital Experience Developer or HCL Commerce Developer, are desirable to validate experience with HCL tools and platforms.
  • Test Automation Certification: Certifications in specific automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or TestComplete are advantageous.
  • Agile Methodologies Certification: Scrum Master or Agile Testing certification.
  • **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT)
