About the role
- The Data Analytics Directorate is responsible for bringing broad data and technology expertise to the marketing context, ensuring a clear understanding of the client’s situation across multiple aspects of their business and competitive environment to develop the data strategy.
- This role leads, at a senior level, a Data Analytics team of approximately 8 to 12 people, whose main responsibilities include:
- Serve as the data focal point for internal and external clients;
- Maintain close relationships with clients to gain a comprehensive view of their culture, challenges, and strengths, enabling identification of needs, technical requirements, and compliance requirements;
- Plan measurement approaches, provide requirements to the technology team, interpret data, and present decision-focused analyses aligned with agreed objectives for campaigns of all types, across all channels and stages of the communication funnel;
- Play an active role in investigating issues and identifying growth levers for the brands served, using the available tools;
- Lead projects laterally in collaboration with other data and technology disciplines such as Data Engineering and Martech;
- Guide clients toward best practices in solution design and governance of the data environment;
- Ensure the team meets deliveries on time and with the quality expected by the client;
- Participate in and contribute to knowledge-sharing and team-building activities organized for the entire Data area;
- Contribute actively to advancing automation agendas and the use of artificial intelligence;
- Ensure we maximize the value of tools provided by the agency and by clients;
- Promote team training focused on career-stage progression.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience, with a solid track record in marketing/advertising and in a management or senior leadership position;
- English is mandatory;
- Strong interpersonal skills, clear communication, adaptability, a sense of urgency, and conflict resolution abilities;
- Ability to prioritize and anticipate problems, as well as deep understanding of the client’s business;
- Ability to engage with clients across different segments such as CPG, Finance, Travel, Automotive, etc.;
- Knowledge of business and marketing strategy and of technology operations within advertising agencies;
- Boundless curiosity and strong analytical thinking skills;
- Strong experience in data analysis focused on the performance of on/offline advertising campaigns and digital channels (web and app);
- Broad knowledge of tools for campaign management, optimization, and measurement, as well as journey automation, personalization, testing, and non-standard data sources;
- Knowledge of the application of statistics in a Marketing context: descriptive and inferential analyses, hypothesis testing and experiments, and forecasting/projections;
- Conceptual understanding of data science applied to Marketing: predictive and prescriptive analyses; segmentation, propensity models, attribution models (MMM, MTA), and modeling of customer-centered metrics (CAC, LTV, churn, RFM);
- Understanding of paid and organic contexts, pre- and post-click; familiarity with market platforms such as web analytics tools, buy-side platforms, CDPs, DMPs, Ad Verification solutions, etc.;
- Conceptual knowledge of tools traditionally used by advertising agencies such as ComScore, TGI, Monitor;
- Experience working in advertising agencies to facilitate relationships with other departments;
- Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools such as Jira/Hive.
