• This is a full-time, 10-month faculty position for a program director and instructor in Bank Street’s Leadership Department.
• The focus of this position will be Bank Street’s redesigned online Educational Leadership Program with pathways in Progressive Leadership and Early Childhood Leadership, with the potential to add other pathways.
• Depending on the Leadership Department's needs, the individual hired for this position may also teach and/or advise in other Bank Street leadership programs.
• Candidates must have expertise in early childhood and K-12 leadership, depth of experience teaching in early childhood or K-12, and school building leadership experience.
• In addition, candidates should demonstrate a depth of knowledge and experience with progressive pedagogies for both children and adults.

• Ensure high quality of service, efficiency in processing aid, and compliance with regulations.
• Supervise a full-time staff of two.

• Oversee the Federal loan programs and administer scholarships.

• This course will introduce students to the skills needed to develop, direct, and manage child life programs in healthcare settings.
• Emphasis will be placed on developing a philosophy of leadership that fosters team collaboration and staff participation.
• Program planning will be addressed within the context of child development and child life principles.
• Topics covered will include staff development and supervision, continuous quality improvement, proposal writing, program development, and departmental management skills.

Adjunct Instructor – Child Life Program Development and Administration

• Curriculum Development: In collaboration with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, review the existing program design and syllabi for the Adolescent Math Teaching Fellows
• External Partnership Management: Act as the primary liaison with New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) and other external partners to coordinate program needs and maintain strong working relationships
• Internal Collaboration with Director of Adolescent Special Education Fellows Program: Meet regularly with the director of the Adolescent Special Education Fellows program and Teaching and Learning Chair, to ensure alignment of approaches and systems across Fellows Programs
• Internal Collaboration with Student Services: Collaborate closely with Bank Street student services, including admissions, the registrar's office, the certification office, placement coordinators, and other relevant departments to ensure a seamless integration of the new program within the institution
• Adjunct Faculty Hiring: Partner with the Associate Dean in the recruitment and hiring process for the initial cohort of adjunct faculty members for the program
• Student Orientation: Plan and execute the orientation process for the inaugural cohort of Adolescent Math Teaching Fellows in collaboration with the Adolescent Special Education Fellows Program Director
• Program Transition: Document all processes, curriculum, and partnership details, and actively transition all program development and management responsibilities to the incoming permanent Program Director during September
