About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee Agile Release Trains and ensure value delivery for large-scale Agile programmes
  • Develop and maintain Agile Release Train schedules for iterations and Program Increments
  • Drive continuous improvement across multiple teams using automated processes
  • Optimise value flow across the ART using Agile practices across end-to-end teams
  • Align cross-dependent teams during PI Planning on overall objectives
  • Monitor progress against PI objectives and provide visibility into ART performance
  • Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile practices
  • Identify, assess, mitigate and escalate risks and dependencies
  • Ensure priorities, objectives and deliverables are understood and communicated
  • Analyse performance and use feedback loops and data-driven decision making to optimise flow
  • Lead and influence cross-team alignment with internal and external teams
  • Communicate with technical teams, non-technical stakeholders, Directors and Executives
  • Work with internal teams and external vendors to automate the SDLC, deployments and software-release integration
  • Support consistent and repeatable software-release deployment methodologies
  • Coordinate release planning and readiness across Engineers, Test, Environment Managers and Release Managers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean principles and Agile metrics
  • Ability to lead cross-team alignment without direct authority
  • Experience conducting large-scale Agile events
  • Clear communication across technical teams, Executives and non-technical stakeholders
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to identify impediments, improve flows and guide teams toward objectives
  • Coaching and mentoring capabilities for Scrum Masters, Product Owners and Agile teams
  • Experience orchestrating large-scale Agile programmes across multiple Agile teams
  • Proven Scrum Master experience of 3–5 years
  • At least 2 years of experience as an RTE working on a large solution portfolio
  • Experience handling internal development and software platforms from other suppliers
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer Certification or similar advanced Scrum Master Certification is desirable
