About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Reporting to the Head of Finance Business Systems, responsible for the ongoing development of principle Finance Systems applications across the Finance department and operating as part of the wider Financial Systems team.
- Lead on the design and governance of end-to-end technical architecture for financial solutions (SAP ECC (on HANA), S/4HANA, FICO, Central Finance modules) and integrating SAP with non-SAP systems, banks, and tax engines.
- Align business processes like Procure to Pay (P2P) Record-to-Report (R2R) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) with the technical architecture.
- Translate business requirements into high level solution design options, technical design blueprints and risk and impact assessments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, represent Finance at necessary IT technical forums, develop and maintain documentation and ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, financial applications.
- Act as a technical bridge between business objectives and IT execution and specialise in cloud-native architecture and specialist Finance applications.
- Lead and champion control in application and database architecture, data reconciliation, data modelling, reporting, and dashboards with appropriate segregation of duties while minimizing risk.
- Provide support and guidance to Finance end users to utilise reports and analytics effectively and help to coordinate developing new functionality.
- Support design, testing and deployment of SAP workflows, reporting, integrations into upstream and downstream systems, customizations, extensions, and forms (RWICEFS) as appropriate and assist the wider business.
Requirements
What you’ll need- CA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified is desirable but qualified by experience or alternative qualification considered as an alternative.
- TOGAF or equivalent certification
- ERP applications such as SAP ECC [on HANA], S/4 HANA, SAC, BW, Datasphere and preferably with recent experience of system conversions and implementations
- Prior involvement in SAP system conversion and upgrades and Cloud Integrations
- Extensive experience in a financial environment and proven experience as a Solution Architect, including ERP change programmes and designing integration solutions for ERP and non-ERP systems.
- Technical expertise: In-depth knowledge of Finance applications such as SAP, TMS, GEM Enterprise:
- Soft skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills, with eh ability to translate complex technical information for non-technical stakeholders
- Project management: knowledge of solution delivery frameworks and experience of methodologies e.g. Agile, Prince 2, APM
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP): SAP ECC and S/4 HANA
- Other Finance Applications: TMS [FIS], GEM Suite, Concur
- Enterprise Performance Management (EPM): Planning and analysis tools e.g. SAC.
- Cloud Platforms: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure.
- Integration technologies: BTP. APIs, middleware, other integration patterns e.g. Boomi, MuleSoft.
- Microsoft Visio or other process mapping tools such as SAP Lean IX or I-Server/Orbus
