About the role
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on HR policies, practices, and employee relations issues.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on various HR matters.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
- Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations and recommends appropriate action plans.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention efforts.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions and job postings for roles.
- Manage the full cycle recruiting process, including posting positions, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and preparing offer letters.
- Oversee onboarding and orientation for new hires to ensure a seamless integration into the organization.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HR system and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Assist in administering leave of absence, accommodation, and other employee requests in compliance with company policies.
- Support with the development and enforcement of HR policies, procedures, and handbooks.
- Participate in internal audits and compliance reporting related to labor, wage/hour, and safety regulations.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and employee communications.
- Partner with HR leadership to support compensation reviews and pay equity initiatives.
- Assist the payroll department with payroll processing questions and timesheet corrections.
- Support implementation of training programs related to HR-related topics, compliance, safety, leadership and professional development.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in human resources, ideally within agriculture or manufacturing-based workforce environment.
- Experience supporting multiple locations and/or a blend of field and corporate teams is a plus.
- A proven record of successfully partnering with senior management and business leaders on HR matters.
- A solid knowledge of HR laws and best practices.
