About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Write auto damage estimates at customer homes, repair shops, and tow yards
Assess and finalize repairable estimates, total loss assessments, and virtual inspections
Conduct face-to-face, virtual, phone, email, and written customer/shop interactions
Investigate casualty and applicable line-of-business claims
Review damage and interpret policies to determine coverage
Guide customers through a fast, fair, and easy claims process
Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants
Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms
Execute policies according to policy agreements
Maintain clear claims-system records
Complete timely and accurate claim documentation
Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must live in/near the Buffalo, NY area
18+ months of experience writing auto collision estimates using CCC One, Audatex, Mitchell, or similar auto estimating programs
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to write precise and comprehensive estimates
Comfortable using technology and various claims-processing platforms
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
Ability to attend a possible 2-week training in Dallas, TX
Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
Dedicated, private home workspace with appropriate desk and seating
Must submit to a background investigation
Adjuster and/or appraiser license may be required within 60 days of hire if applicable
Position unavailable to residents of Puerto Rico, California, Alaska, Washington, and Hawaii
Allstate generally does not sponsor employment-based visas for this position
