About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate and confirm facts of loss for Homeowners Claims
- Determine coverage and damages and adjust and negotiate claims within authority limits
- Independently prioritize responsibilities
- Partner with fraud or subrogation representatives to achieve the best outcome
- Handle homeowner first-party claims involving coverage, damages, and subrogation
- Identify key components of residential construction and repair
- Identify customer needs and provide appropriate customer service
- Learn and apply processes for determining subrogation or fraud potential
- Work with company systems and technology
Requirements
What you’ll need- Fully remote position; ideal candidates reside within the Eastern or Central Time Zones
- Prior experience handling residential homeowner claims highly preferred
- Proficiency in Xactimate and XactAnalysis highly preferred
- Ability to investigate homeowner first-party claims, including coverage, damages, and subrogation
- Intermediate understanding of insurance policies, the insurance industry, and organizational relationships
- Understanding of residential construction and repair
- Basic understanding of company systems and technology
- Ability to learn and determine subrogation or fraud potential
- Applicants must possess authorization to work in the United States
- Active applicable insurance licenses may qualify applicants for the licensing bonus
- Active insurance license holders must terminate existing appointments before onboarding and may not hold outside appointments during employment
- Applicants with a resident producer license must surrender it when instructed by the licensing team
- Dedicated, private home workspace required
- Reliable internet required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
