About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate and confirm facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents
- Determine coverage, liability, and damages
- Adjust and negotiate claims within limits of authority
- Take ownership of claims from start to finish
- Partner with fraud or subrogation representatives to achieve the best outcome
- Recognize and identify vehicle body parts and other potential property damage
- Identify customer needs and address them using appropriate customer service skills
- Determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle it
- Apply an intermediate understanding of company and industry insurance policies
- Investigate all aspects of auto claims, including coverage, damages, and subrogation, using discretion and independence
- Handle claims without supervisory duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Candidates ideally reside in the PST or MST time zones
- Candidates must possess authorization to work in the United States
- Must take full ownership of claims from start to finish
- Must remain organized, proactive, and highly communicative
- Ability to multitask effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Auto insurance claims knowledge
- Case management, claims administration, claims resolution, and claims review skills
- Insurance claims investigation experience or knowledge
- Customer service, task organization, and time management skills
- Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments before onboarding and must not hold outside appointments during employment
- Applicants with a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team
- Dedicated, private home workspace free from distractions, with appropriate desk and seating
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
