About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct reviews of rates for assigned states and product lines, analyzing profit and loss results, past and current trends, projecting underwriting losses, and reviewing rate competitiveness
- Complete detailed analyses, make recommendations, and prepare rate package proposals for key business partners
- Prepare internal and external communications, including interactions with regulatory authorities and management, describing and supporting rules and rate changes
- Gain a basic understanding of Allstate’s property and casualty business lines
- Complete assignments involving auto, homeowners, specialty lines, or business insurance
- Contribute to overall growth and profit goals of major initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, or a related field
- Strong academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Must be a full-time student
- Graduation date after February 19th, 2027 and before August 20th, 2029
- Pursuing actuarial designation
- Ability to analyze data and review analysis while demonstrating strong decision-making skills
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office: Intermediate Excel, Intermediate Word, Beginner Outlook, Basic PowerPoint
- Standard knowledge in the use of data sources
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to complete multiple concurrent assignments in a timely manner
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
- Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, with appropriate desk and seating
- Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
