About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Travel to customers’ homes to conduct on-site inspections
Investigate property claim coverage
Prepare estimates and settle claims promptly and efficiently
Handle virtual claims countrywide using platforms including Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration
Focus expertise on water losses
Provide compassionate, clear, and customer-focused claims service
Perform detailed damage reviews and interpret policies to determine coverage
Communicate with customers by phone, email, and video chat
Offer customers communication preferences and keep them updated on claim progress
Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants
Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to resolve claims
Complete timely and accurate claim documentation in the claims system
Attend approximately two weeks of training in Dallas, Texas

Requirements

What you’ll need

4 years’ previous experience as an outside adjuster is highly desired
Experience handling claims involving multiple trades and losses over $100,000
Proficiency using Xactimate and other relevant estimating software
Strong critical thinking and technical skills for accurately assessing damages
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel to customers’ homes and handle virtual claims countrywide
Detail-oriented and organized
Residency within the posted location is mandatory
Ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access roofs with up to a 6/12 pitch
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
Applicants with active insurance licenses must terminate existing appointments before onboarding and hold no outside appointments during employment
Applicants with a resident producer license must surrender it when instructed by the licensing team
Must obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire if required
Must pass a background investigation
Dedicated, private home workspace free from distractions
Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
