About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Travel to customers’ homes to conduct on-site inspections

  • Focus expertise on water losses
  • Provide compassionate, clear, and customer-focused claims service
  • Perform detailed damage reviews and interpret policies to determine coverage
  • Communicate with customers by phone, email, and video chat
  • Offer customers communication preferences and keep them updated on claim progress
  • Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants
  • Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to resolve claims
  • Complete timely and accurate claim documentation in the claims system
  • Attend approximately two weeks of training in Dallas, Texas

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 years’ previous experience as an outside adjuster is highly desired
  • Experience handling claims involving multiple trades and losses over $100,000
  • Proficiency using Xactimate and other relevant estimating software
  • Strong critical thinking and technical skills for accurately assessing damages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel to customers’ homes and handle virtual claims countrywide
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Residency within the posted location is mandatory
  • Ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access roofs with up to a 6/12 pitch
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
  • Applicants with active insurance licenses must terminate existing appointments before onboarding and hold no outside appointments during employment
  • Applicants with a resident producer license must surrender it when instructed by the licensing team
  • Must obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire if required
  • Must pass a background investigation
  • Dedicated, private home workspace free from distractions
  • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
