About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles with property damage and/or bodily injury involving attorneys or litigation
- Assess coverage, liability, and damages
- Provide customer service through voice calls, email, and text messages
- Use innovative platforms and tools to negotiate fair and timely injury settlements
- Handle a high volume of pending cases
- Investigate casualty claims through detailed damage reviews and policy interpretation
- Communicate with customers by phone, email, and video chat
- Evaluate and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants
- Apply legal and business-standard claim-handling methodologies
- Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms
- Document claims accurately and timely in the claims system
- Protect the company financially by executing policies according to policy agreements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prior represented third-party casualty claim handling experience required
- OH or CT claims experience highly preferred
- 2–5 years of moderate/complex bodily injury claim handling experience preferred
- Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone
- Ability to work independently and remotely while managing time efficiently
- Knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, liability determination, and state regulations
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of tools and platforms for claims evaluation
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency is a plus
- Candidates must reside in the Eastern or Central Time Zones
- May be required to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire
- Required to submit to a background investigation
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
- Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions with appropriate desk and seating
- Position unavailable to residents of California, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico
- Allstate generally does not sponsor employment-based visas for this position
