About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create comprehensive estimates of damages for 1st- and 3rd-party material damage claims
Determine the proper disposition of claims
Interpret regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
Negotiate settlements, make settlement payments, and document activities in complex files
Apply policy interpretations across all policy types written by the company
Assist leadership with formal and ad hoc training
Create damage estimates for material damage losses of all severities
Build relationships with internal and external customers
Serve as a peer mentor

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must possess authorization to work in the United States
Applicants who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments before onboarding
Must not hold outside insurance appointments during employment
Applicants with a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team
Mastery of estimating fundamentals
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
Ability to interpret all policy types written by the company
Ability to negotiate settlements and document complex claims files
Technical expertise in material damage claims
Ability to provide peer mentorship and assist with training
Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home
Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
