About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assess and research vehicle values using various methods
Review and analyze documents from internal and external sources related to the vehicle evaluation process
Comply with and maintain departmental standards and/or KPIs
Provide superior customer service to policyholders and ensure prompt and fair claim settlements
Other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Valid AMF license as a claims expert
3 years of auto insurance experience and/or 2 years of total-loss experience considered an asset
Comfortable with insurance policy wordings
Demonstrated experience in insurance and a solid understanding of the discipline
Good understanding of indemnity conventions and claims settlement principles
Excellent customer service skills
Strong team orientation, good negotiation skills, and ability to make decisions
Bilingual (French and English) — both spoken and written
Proficient with MS Office
Familiarity with automotive terminology, the vehicle market, and auto estimates
Excellent organizational and negotiation skills
Total-loss experience
