About the role
- Executes and/or manages projects in support of pricing insurance business
- Uses best practices to determine appropriate analysis and performs complex analysis
- Provides thought and/or technical leadership
- Plans, implements, manages, and/or contributes on moderate to high complex projects
- Communicates results to management and non-technical users
- Responsible for data quality used for actuarial and statistical services
- Leverages understanding of insurance business in the creation of business strategies
- May mentor and/or supervise less experienced talent
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required – preferably in related field of study such as actuarial science, math/applied math, statistics/applied statistics
- 3-5 years of property and casualty pricing/modeling experience
- Pursuing actuarial designation
- Advanced knowledge in the use and ability to learn a wide variety of tools, data sources and computer applications
- Experience in using, modifying and building predictive models
- Ability to code in one or more programming languages
- Advanced product, price, risk management and insurance regulation knowledge
- High level project management skills
