Lead the Data Transformation Journey
Drive migration from on-prem SQL Server to cloud platforms implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing databases
Mentor a small team of DBAs, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
Ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of databases across hybrid environments aligning to Allstate security requirements
Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in cloud and hybrid setups aligning to Allstate security requirements
Work closely with Enterprise engineering aligning Investments with enterprise data strategy
Work closely with Investments product and business teams aligning with organizational goals

Requirements

10+ years in database administration with strong expertise in SQL Server (Oracle experience is a plus)
3+ years in Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms
Exposure to Microsoft Fabric and OneLake is a strong plus
Proven experience coaching DBA teams and driving large-scale database migrations
Database performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery
Familiarity with Delta Lake, Parquet, and modern data architectures
Strong understanding of security and compliance in cloud environments
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking
