About the role
- Execute day-to-day activities for the Benefits Accounting team
- Manage complex accounting tasks and analyze financial data
- Implement, report, and communicate impact of business and accounting initiatives on processes and financial statements
- Participate in and initiate process improvement projects
- Prepare analytical schedules, analyze variances, and provide analytical support
- Prepare quarterly/annual statutory and/or GAAP financial reporting and complex accounting schedules/exhibits
- Prepare and analyze account reconciliations, including complex processes
- Support monthly close, prepare journal entries, and related account analyses
- Work independently, prioritize assignments, and escalate issues as appropriate
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience (Preferred)
- Experience with account analysis, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Experience with monthly close process and financial reporting
- Strong analytical thinking and analytical support skills
- Reporting experience
- Willingness to submit to a background investigation
