About the role

  • Build, lead, and evolve a high-performing engineering organization
  • Establish clear team structure, roles, and growth paths
  • Lead performance management, succession planning, and talent development
  • Create an inclusive, accountable, and high-ownership culture
  • Coach leaders and senior SAs on outcome-driven execution
  • Define and operationalize quarterly and annual OKRs aligned to Technical Advisory strategy
  • Translate strategic priorities into measurable engineering outcomes
  • Implement structured review cadences and progress tracking
  • Drive alignment between individual, team, and organizational OKRs
  • Use metrics and data to continuously improve delivery predictability and business impact
  • Own and drive the multi-quarter Solution Engineering roadmap
  • Scale the Tools Program lifecycle from submission through standardization, hardening, validation, and publication
  • Improve time-to-productization and operational maturity
  • Define and track KPIs such as: Tool adoption and activation rates, Platform scalability, Reliability and incident reduction, Engineering throughput and cycle time
  • Partner with Consulting, Sales, and Product leadership to align investment with business value
  • Provide architectural oversight across advisory tools and platform capabilities
  • Ensure compliance with Autodesk technical, security, privacy, and operational standards
  • Champion modern cloud-native, API-first, and scalable design principles
  • Drive DevOps maturity, automation, CI/CD, and observability practices
  • Lead modernization efforts to convert bespoke engagement artifacts into production-ready services
  • Guide build vs. buy decisions and promote reuse of inner-source components
  • Lead team members to adopt AI tools responsibly in their job functions
  • Establish strong SDLC governance and quality frameworks
  • Ensure clear ownership models, SLAs, and lifecycle management
  • Oversee risk management, root cause analysis, and mitigation planning
  • Drive predictability across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Manage resource planning aligned to capacity and strategic priorities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or technical consulting
  • 7+ years of progressive people leadership experience
  • Proven experience operating at organizational leadership level (managing senior engineers and/or managers)
  • Demonstrated success implementing and scaling OKR-based execution frameworks
  • Strong background in: Full-stack engineering and API-driven architecture, Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and observability, Distributed systems and scalable service design
  • Experience leading multiple concurrent, cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills.
