About the role
- Own the finance function as AllSpice's first finance hire; strategic operator and thought partner to CEO, co-founders, and board
- Partner with the CEO, co-founders, and board to shape company strategy, support fundraising, and prepare board materials
- Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses that drive decision-making
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering leaders to develop budgets, evaluate pricing, and measure ROI
- Establish systems, dashboards, automation, and best practices to professionalize reporting and track KPIs
- Oversee an external accountant/bookkeeper; ensure accounting fundamentals, AP/AR, reconciliations, collections, and compliance
- High-impact role reporting directly to the CEO with visibility across the company and investors
Requirements
- SaaS expertise is essential — ideally with experience scaling enterprise SaaS businesses from Series A through Series C/D
- Proven track record building finance processes, models, and dashboards in VC-backed, high-growth environments
- Deep knowledge of SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, usage-based models)
- Comfortable moving between strategic partnership and tactical execution; thrives in an environment where both are needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA a plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset: thrives in ambiguity, biases toward action, and takes ownership in building from scratch
- Bonus: SQL knowledge or interest in learning to pull and analyze data directly
- Authorization to work lawfully in the United States / disclose sponsorship needs (application asks)
