About the role
- Identify and capture market opportunities for custom-engineered metal fabrications within the Aerospace, Chemical Processing, and Automotive sectors
- Maintain and scale long-term relationships with Engineers, Project Managers, and Procurement Departments
- Translate complex customer requirements into RFQs; collaborate with internal engineering teams to ensure fabrication feasibility
- Execute a strategic sales plan for the Eastern US territory, maintaining a high-activity pipeline in the CRM
- Monitor industry trends in heat treating, primary metals, and general industrial manufacturing
- Promote solutions involving Nickel, Hastelloy, Inconel, Incoloy, and Stainless Steel
- Drive sales for ASME Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Furnace Muffles, and Industrial Fans/Blowers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
- 3–5+ years in Industrial Sales, Technical Sales, or Outside Sales within the metal fabrication or thermal processing industry (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, and mechanical specifications
- Proven track record in Value-Added Selling and Consultative Sales cycles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM (Infor)
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the Eastern US for on-site customer visits and trade shows
