About the role
- Deliver the budgeted targets for sales development opportunities.
- Scout for new customers, new business opportunities and product improvement needs react with adequate speed to market and escalate as needed.
- Develop and implement “key account” practices for selected major customers, ensuring that a llnex achieves Preferred Supplier status.
- Monitor competitive activity to ensure that existing business is retained, and that our strategies at targeted accounts continues to be appropriate.
- Aggressively figure out new business/product opportunities at “key account” and lead project to meet customer expired target by strong coordination of internal resources.
- Manage the growth in the business adequately by focusing on parameters of credit control, accounts receivables and intimate customer relationships.
- Facilitate demand supply balance by forecasting to the best of customer information and ensure proper update to reflect the latest changes in the dynamic China market.
- Manage distribution channels to cover specific territories.
- Keep fully abreast and up to date on competitor activities.
- Regularly make multi level and multi functional contact at all customers so as to maximize business opportunities through sound commercial relationships.
- Use all readily available sales, marginal income and cost reports to ensure that allnex business objectives are being met with respect to product volumes/mix, pricing, costs and marginal income where necessary, implement or recommend any corrective actions.
- Leverage existing industry/people network to develop new business in booming industries like photovoltaic/EV and others.
- Make sure new business developed and hand over to regular sales for daily follow in smooth way.
- Survey customer requirements through both direct and indirect means, and use this information to identify and recommend, to both local and overseas personnel, actions to satisfy these needs.
- Through attendance at relevant industry meetings, conferences and exhibitions, develop an understanding of trends and critical issues within our targeted business segments.
Requirements
- 5 -10 years experience in a variety of functions such as Key Account Management, business development, technical service, research, and marketing
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent communication skills, written, presentation and verbal.
- Track record in KA management and business / customer development in new markets or with new products.
- Sales skills and commercial acumen.
- Exposure to P&L desirable.
- A strong bias towards action leading to commercialization.
- Leadership role in innovation programs, exposure to statutory bodies desirable.
- Self-starter – can work independently and ask for support whenever necessary.
- Problem solving - this will be a very challenging new position where the candidate will be required to develop a strategy and establish his soft-skills leadership in a rapidly changing environment.
