About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Bond and Property & Casualty product lines for claims
  • Work with underwriters, financial institutions and risk management on claims
  • Track loss trends and escalations
  • Create best practices for completing and handing off claims to carriers
  • Manage bi-monthly discussions with carrier partners on claim file downloads
  • Assist the Claims Director in setting annual loss ratio goals and tracking progress
  • Manage escalated complaints and claims and recommend remediation
  • Train account managers and administrative assistants on the claims inbox
  • Triage and prioritize the Bond Claims inbox
  • Create new claims in TAM and manage related documentation
  • Monitor communication between financial institution leaders and adjusters
  • Coordinate claims decision calls involving financial institution partners and carrier legal departments
  • Advocate for credit unions and financial institutions to achieve favorable claim outcomes
  • Review policies and insuring agreements and ensure claims are filed correctly
  • Work with insurance carriers to determine covered losses or declinations
  • Coordinate legal representation for litigated claims
  • Manage claims issues, coverage disputes, denials and carrier follow-up
  • Liaise between financial institutions and insurance carriers
  • Document claim acknowledgements, denials, closings and submissions in TAM
  • Serve as subject matter expert, liaison and project manager for Bond Claims in CenterPoint
  • Monitor claims to ensure timely requests for close-out documentation and settlements
  • Partner with internal teams to improve workflow efficiency and support departmental initiatives
  • Provide on-call support for clients and financial institutions regarding CenterPoint
  • Onboard new clients into CenterPoint
  • Liaise between tech support and first- and third-party users for IT issues
  • Facilitate Plastic Card automation enrollment
  • Participate in regional and business unit claims meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3–4 years of relevant work experience required
  • Property and Casualty license preferred
  • Adjusters license preferred
  • Knowledge of Bond and Property & Casualty claims
  • Ability to review policies, insuring agreements, coverage positions, denials, exclusions and deductibles
  • Experience managing claims, carrier communications, escalations and litigation-related matters
  • Experience documenting claim submissions and claim records in agency management systems such as TAM
  • Ability to work with CenterPoint and coordinate with development, technology support and insurance carrier teams
