About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop the Flutter app as part of multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with other teams
Plan and prioritise work with appropriate input from others
Build domain understanding and proactively identify and clarify new requirements
Help run the community of practice and encourage broad participation
Identify ways to enhance client relationships and develop new capabilities aligned with Allica’s goals
Mentor and support junior colleagues through activities such as pair programming and answering questions
Write well-designed, testable, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code for new features and improvements to Allica mobile applications
Collaborate with designers, test engineers, third parties, and other stakeholders
Support a collaborative culture and help less experienced teammates grow and develop

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong commercial experience using Flutter and Dart
Ideally, native iOS/Android development experience
Swift, Objective-C, Java, or Kotlin skills, or experience with a strongly typed modern language
Experience with MVVM, MVP, VIP, or similar architectures
Experience modularising features and application structure
Hands-on mobile UI development experience
Experience collaborating with designers using tools such as Figma
Experience developing within a design system
Knowledge of accessibility, localisation, and responsive UI
Extensive experience with Git source control, including Git Flow, trunk-based development, and interactive rebasing
Experience with unit, integration, and UI snapshot/golden testing frameworks
Experience with code quality and formatting tools
Experience working in an Agile environment, following Scrum or Kanban
Experience collaborating with designers, test engineers, and third parties
Solid understanding of SOLID principles and TDD/BDD
Understanding of continuous integration and setting up CI/CD environments
Understanding of quality gates and pull-request policies for trunk
Understanding of mobile app security, including networking, certificate pinning, storage, code obfuscation, and anti-tamper protections
Understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture
Ability and passion for technology, with interest in learning new skills outside the immediate area
