About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Carry out thorough examinations of mechanical equipment, including presses, guillotines, and injection moulding machinery
Undertake a non-destructive training course
Maintain professional competence
Complete crack detection of press components
Process documentation and undertake general administration in a timely manner
Plan and diarise meetings, site visits, and work allocation
Travel within the allocated local work area to client sites
Support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors when required
Provide customer support and interact with customers verbally and in writing

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experienced and qualified Engineer Surveyor
Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory rules and procedures relating to Power Presses
Experience in the manufacturing, repair, or maintenance of Power Presses, Brake Presses, Injection Moulding Machines, woodworking equipment, associated guards, and protection devices
Understanding of electrical control systems and associated documentation would be an advantage
Strong customer interaction skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Ability to make well-informed decisions and take responsibility
Effective short-, medium-, and long-term planning skills
Ability to travel effectively within the allocated local work area
Competence in processing documentation and undertaking general administration
Willingness to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors
Strong customer support skills, both face-to-face and in writing
Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage is desirable
