About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Legally analyze, draft and review contractual terms for insurance, coinsurance and reinsurance products
Provide legal advice to business and technical areas on regulatory, contractual and consumer law matters
Provide legal support for the analysis of new products, projects, commercial partnerships, insurance contractual documents and strategic initiatives
Draft legal opinions related to claims, products, public consultations and regulatory matters
Conduct administrative proceedings before regulatory authorities
Prepare reports and dashboards
Review Ombudsman inquiries, extrajudicial notices and matters related to customer experience
Assess legal and regulatory risks and contribute strategically to business decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Law degree
Active membership with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
Advanced English
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a lawyer in the insurance market
Consultative experience in the legal department of an insurer or reinsurer
Extensive knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the insurance sector
Experience analyzing and negotiating contracts, agreements and commercial partnerships
Knowledge of consumer protection law
Familiarity with legal systems and artificial intelligence tools
Experience implementing the new insurance legislation is a plus
Analytical and proactive profile is a plus
Strong ability to build relationships with business and technical teams is a plus
