About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate and Civil Society Partnerships (CCSP), working closely with CCSP, Global Policy and Public Affairs, and Strategy and Planning teams.
  • Focused on engaging private sector partners and prospects to progress children’s rights and business (CRB) practice and regulation.
  • Collaborate with UNICEF HQ, country offices, and Centers of Excellence to advance child online protection and child rights by aligning strategic business priorities.
  • Drive the development, refinement, and implementation of the BR4C strategy and synthesize and communicate key insights and emerging trends to internal teams.
  • Engage or support corporate partners and prospects to inform and expand US private sector partners’ policies and practices.
  • Monitor emerging trends, risks and developments related to child rights and safety and child labor at the policy level.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across CCSP, Global Policy and Public Affairs, Strategy, and Marcomms.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Rights, International Development, Public Policy, Law, Business/Management with a strong ESG component, social policy or related field. An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) preferred.
  • At least 6-8 years of relevant professional experience in business and human rights, responsible business conduct, corporate sustainability/ESG policy.
  • Experience in corporate policies or sustainability strategies, supply chain due diligence and/or ESG reporting frameworks as well as experience working with private sector partners, multistakeholder initiatives, governments and regulatory bodies and international organizations.
  • Understanding and experience with developing partnership strategies and plans.
  • Experience in AI/tech trust and safety, human rights, or policy, is preferred.
  • Ability to lead internal and external meetings with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate and lead independently and within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, organize work effectively, and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to effectively collect, analyze, organize, distill and present information.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed. Travel anticipated 10-25%.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
  • Must possess current and valid US Work Authorization and be eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship.
