About the role
- Lead and manage landscape architecture projects from conceptual design through to implementation
- Translate community engagement and ecological principles into compelling site plans
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are met
- Monitor project budgets, optimize resource allocation, and control costs to achieve financial targets
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and internal teams to deliver integrated natural design solutions
- Share technical expertise to guide project teams on on-site analysis, grading, planting design, and material selection
- Produce high-quality construction documents and detailed technical specifications
- Coach and mentor junior designers through all project phases, from concept sketching to technical documentation
- Assist in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation for accuracy, compliance, clarity, and completeness
- Support redline reviews of construction drawing sets and specifications to ensure clarity, coordination, and constructability
Requirements
- Degree in landscape architecture, urban design, or a related field and licensure or eligibility for licensure in North America
- 6–10 years’ experience in landscape design, with a focus on parks, playgrounds, gardens, streetscapes, and campus master planning
- Strong technical skills in grading, planting, construction detailing, and contract documentation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, ArcGIS, and project management software; hand graphic fluency preferred
- A passion for mentoring and developing design talent within a collaborative studio environment
- Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, and environmental consultants
- Exceptional project management, communication, and leadership abilities
- A design approach rooted in ecological sensitivity, natural materials, and community engagement
