About the role

  • Bring specialised expertise in managing and optimizing payment processes to ensure efficient, accurate transaction handling.
  • Lead new projects delivering innovative payment solutions that expand the Allegro Finance portfolio — including both proprietary products and partner-delivered services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate transaction risks and enhance payment security, protecting the organisation from potential threats and fraud.
  • Ensure full compliance of payment activities with regulatory requirements and industry standards, maintaining high legal and operational integrity.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to increase payment system efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders — including banks, Visa, Mastercard, BLIK, and payment processors — to ensure seamless system integration and operations.
  • Ensure reliable, fast payment processing to continuously improve customer experience and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in the payments industry and a solid background in financial or payment services.
  • Deep expertise in managing and optimizing payment processes — ensuring efficient, accurate, and secure transaction flows.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to independently lead initiatives expanding the Allegro Finance portfolio.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills for managing long-term partnerships with key stakeholders such as banks, Visa, Mastercard, BLIK and payment processors.
  • A strong understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and payment security — plus the ability to design strategies that effectively reduce risk and strengthen system safety.
  • Creativity and a proactive, innovative approach to identifying automation and process-improvement opportunities.
  • Strong self-organization skills, allowing you to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-threaded environment.
  • Prior background in payment card acceptance, issuing, or processing would be beneficial!
  • A customer-centric mindset — knowing that reliable, seamless payments directly shape the user experience.
  • Fluent Polish and English (minimum C1, spoken and written) essential for working with international partners, financial institutions, and internal teams.
