About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support North American and International Distribution Sales Channels
  • Work closely with distribution partners
  • Handle customer inquiries, sales order maintenance needs, and problem resolution
  • Manage orders and ensure strict compliance
  • Build positive relationships with assigned North American and International Distributors
  • Handle phone calls, emails, web, and fax transactions to support customer satisfaction and Allegion KPIs
  • Act as liaison with sales personnel, distributors, and service personnel
  • Manage customer communications regarding promotions and product information
  • Update, maintain, and analyze customer account profiles
  • Take ownership, exercise good judgment, and effect change
  • Maintain working knowledge of company products, services, and promotions
  • Resolve issues under Allegion guidelines
  • Attend meetings to represent the department and company
  • Perform detailed order entry for custom doors and service parts
  • Respond to inbound calls and email inquiries
  • Resolve complaints
  • Research and place quality replacement orders
  • Maintain attention to detail and customer needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s Degree or 3-5 years of account/customer management experience
  • Experience with order management system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook email, etc.)
  • Must be reliable and have a positive attitude
  • Demonstrate initiative and willingness to overcome challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting or individually as required
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a high call volume environment while maintaining professional and courteous customer interactions
  • Ability to recognize and adapt to change
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience with SAP order management system preferred
  • Effective negotiation skills preferred
  • Export/Import Compliance preferred
  • High level of enthusiasm and passion for excellence preferred
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills preferred
  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries and levels preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States
  • Company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status
