About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete the 12-month Sales Development Program rotational training and development program
- Learn about the industry, Allegion customers, products, and processes
- Participate in a 3-month product and industry training module at the Training Facility in Denver, CO
- Participate in a 2-month rotation with corporate sponsors from non-regional sales teams
- Complete individually assigned projects and present results
- Participate in a 7-month field training rotation with Allegion’s field selling teams
- Coordinate and conduct joint sales calls throughout the assigned sales territory
- Represent Allegion’s product portfolio at local security tradeshows and demonstrate solutions
- Understand customers within the trade area and build relationships with decision makers
- Attend factory and outside product training
- Develop relationships with co-workers throughout the matrixed organization
- Utilize Dynamics CRM, Overtur, and PowerBI data analytics to gather and maintain project information
- Maintain awareness of and compliance with Allegion policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Transition into a full-time sales role after completing the program
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, or Marketing preferred
- Strong mechanical and electronics aptitude
- Detail oriented with a high level of organization and time management skills
- Proficient w/ MS Office tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Influencing skills essential along with a bias for action
- Ability to travel up to 20%
