About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Service and perform preventative maintenance on Stanley Automatic Door Operating Equipment and other electro/mechanical equipment serviced by the branch
- Perform service and repair work in a profitable and proper manner
- Record productive time versus travel time
- Perform preventive maintenance according to designated customer service programs
- Maintain accurate work records and parts used at each job
- Keep updated on changes and modifications to Stanley equipment and ANSI 156.10 standards
- Keep manuals and details up to date
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and other property
- Maintain adequate parts inventory for the service vehicle and keep inventory logs
- Maintain good customer relations and customer service
- Assist and instruct others in installation and service methods
Requirements
What you’ll need- HS Diploma or Equivalent is required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Clean Driving Record & Valid Driver's License
- Frequently going up and down ladders
- Standing on concrete several hours a day
- Ability to stoop, bend, crouch, kneel or crawl, twisting spine
- Ability to work in various climates
- Ability to work overhead
- Ability to lift and/or carry weight up to 50–75 lbs
- Flexible work schedule required, including nights, weekends, or on-call work as necessary
- Prior experience servicing automated doors preferred
- Prior experience in construction field installing door frames and windows preferred
- Associate degree in a related electrical, mechanical, or industrial field preferred
- Prior experience in electrical, automotive, HVAC, or communication fields a plus
- Prior experience as a glazier installing glass doors or windows and carpentry experience a plus
