About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform installation or service work in a profitable and proper manner
- Record productive time versus travel time
- Perform preventive maintenance according to customer-specific service programs
- Maintain accurate work records and parts used at each job
- Keep updated on changes to Stanley equipment and ANSI 156.10 standards
- Keep manuals and details up to date
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and other property
- Maintain a neat personal appearance and quality workmanship
- Maintain adequate parts inventory for the service vehicle and keep inventory logs
- Test equipment and perform safety checks before leaving job sites
- Maintain good customer relations and customer service
- Assist and instruct others in installation and service methods
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Valid state driver’s license without restrictions
- Ability to lift 75–100 lbs
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to sit while driving for periods up to 2 hours
- Ability to stand on concrete for periods up to 8 hours
- Ability to stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, and twist the spine occasionally
- Vision not limited to near, far, or colors
- Ability to work in various climates
- Flexible work schedule, including nights and/or weekends as necessary
- Preferred: prior experience in the construction industry or electrical field
- Preferred: experience servicing automated doors, glazing, installing glass or door frames, reading blueprints, or AAADM Certification
- Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States
- Allegion does not intend to provide employment visa sponsorship
