About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define, design and implement a single, robust performance scorecard framework that cascades Business Operations Leadership goals through senior leaders to front-line teams and individual contributors.
  • Translate strategic objectives into measurable KPIs, targets and behaviors; ensure owners and cadences are defined for all metrics.
  • Build dashboards and visual management (digital and/or physical) to make performance transparent at all levels.
  • Establish data governance and metric definitions to ensure one version of truth.
  • Create and manage a prioritized pipeline of analytics and improvement projects aligned to strategic priorities (cost, quality, delivery, safety, customer experience).
  • Define intake, prioritization, business case, resourcing and handoff processes for analytics and improvement work.
  • Oversee delivery of analytics (insights, root-cause analysis, predictive models) and translate findings into actionable improvement plans.
  • Track project ROI and benefits realization; maintain project health and escalation protocols.
  • Lead the rollout and adoption of Leader Standard Work (LSW) across Business Operations including development of role-specific LSW, coaching models and audit/cadence mechanisms (Implementation of MDI throughout Business Operations).
  • Drive daily management practices (Gemba cadence, visual boards, huddles) to sustain improvements and accelerate decision making.
  • Design and monitor LSW/MDI compliance and improvement audits; use findings to close gaps and coach leaders.
  • Plan, facilitate and/or sponsor RIEs, Kaizen events and structured problem-solving (A3, DMAIC, 8D or equivalent).
  • Develop and deliver problem-solving and Lean curricula for multiple audiences (managers, supervisors, frontline).
  • Support pre/post standard work, control plans and sustainment activities following events.
  • Lead, mentor and grow a blended team of data analysts and continuous improvement practitioners.
  • Coach team members and business leaders through complex root-cause analysis, hypothesis testing and countermeasure selection.
  • Recruit, develop and retain high-performing talent; set clear objectives, KPIs and development plans.
  • Partner with Business Operations Leadership and cross-functional teams to align priorities, secure resources and remove barriers.
  • Apply change management practices to ensure adoption of new processes, roles and metrics.
  • Communicate progress, wins and lessons learned through executive summaries, reviews and visual performance tools.
  • Support functional value stream analyses, staffing models, process improvements and work optimization as needed.
  • Ensure all activities meet corporate EH&S and compliance requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • 7+ years of combined experience in operational excellence/continuous improvement and data analytics; experience leading both analytics and Lean initiatives.
  • 3+ years’ experience managing or leading teams.
  • Demonstrated success creating and operating cascading scorecards, dashboards and governance for KPIs.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with analytics tools and languages (SQL, Excel, Power BI/Tableau; Python/R preferred).
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt) or equivalent and practical experience facilitating Kaizen/RIEs and structured problem solving.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence at all levels.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/WMS/TMS or other operational systems is a plus.
