About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a senior systems engineering leader integrating business strategy, customer requirements, and technical architecture
Partner with Product Management, Marketing, UX, Operations, Cybersecurity, and Engineering
Lead global teams of software systems engineers
Establish and evolve systems engineering frameworks
Own system-level architecture and technical decision-making
Lead the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) governing body
Balance scope, cost, schedule, and risk across multi-team initiatives
Oversee portfolio-level risk management
Lead Technical Design Reviews
Evaluate and present system design trade-offs
Ensure clear requirements definition, traceability, and verification strategies
Champion data-driven problem solving and continuous improvement
Act as a senior technical escalation point

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree preferred
10+ years of experience in systems engineering or software-intensive product development
5+ years of people leadership experience
Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering fundamentals
Strong ability to operate at the intersection of engineering, product, and business
Experience leading complex, multi-team programs
Working knowledge of cybersecurity practices and SSDLC leadership
Experience with cloud architectures, connected products, wireless technologies, and mobile applications
Preferred: Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP)
