Create door hardware schedules and technical specifications for architects, ensuring compliance with current codes and standards for new construction and asset-maintenance projects.
Recommend product application solutions to architects.
Facilitate design revisions, coordinate access control, and respond to technical questions throughout all project phases.
Communicate strategic project information to the Architectural Services Consultant to help develop project strategy for the sales team.
Communicate project changes that may impact specifications and commercial strategy, and maintain two-way communication with the Architectural Services Consultant and the sales team.
Assist sales teams with competitor product conversions.
Be proficient in electromechanical hardware products and solutions, including access control and software aspects.
Communicate coordination requirements and/or conflicts related to door hardware, such as access control, electrical requirements, and specialty doors.
Collaborate with the Architectural Services Consultant to deliver a positive customer experience and meet project commitments.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Allegion’s product portfolio and competitors by analyzing market data on competitive activity.
Adapt to market changes.
Use CRM and specification-writing software, as well as collaboration tools.
Manage the sales process through effective CRM management and clear communication.

Requirements

Post-secondary diploma in architectural technology or construction technology (an asset)
More than 4 years of experience in the field
Knowledge of mechanical and electronic hardware solutions, including options ranging from mechanical access control to comprehensive facility management
Understanding of electrical and electronic components
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English/French), with the ability to collaborate effectively and influence at all levels of the organization
Strong customer service orientation
DHI certification (an asset)
Ongoing training toward AHC certification (an asset) with DHI
DHT certification (an asset)
Valid driver’s license in province of residence (required)
Availability to travel 5–10%
Strong CRM and computer skills
Knowledge of local codes and CSI specification format
