About the role
- Oversees the Revenue & Claiming, Fiscal Reporting Accounts Payable and Title IV-Eligibility units
- Establishes priorities, performance standards, internal policies, and procedures for Finance staff in the area of fiscal operations
- Collaborates with the Deputy Director, Office of Administration (OA), and the Administrator, Bureau of Contract and Compliance (BCC) in carrying out the fiscal policies, rules, and regulations
- Provides timely financial reports, analysis, and advice to assist with organizational decision-making
- Acts as the DHS liaison to the Allegheny County Department Management and Budget and manages the development of DHS County budget
- Assists in the preparation of budgets required for the State annual budget plans
- Oversees the administration of all grants including federal, state, private, and donated revenues
- Reviews and approves submissions to and communications with federal and state agencies
- Implements fiscal policies and procedures for DHS
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- five (5) years of professional experience in fiscal management, auditing, economic analysis, fiscal planning, budget systems analysis, or a related field
- three (3) years of management experience
