About the role

  • Analyze the claims experience of the administered portfolio, identifying trends, distortions and utilization risk factors.
  • Perform technical calculations for rate adjustments, taking into account portfolio history, risk profile and negotiations with operators.
  • Prepare actuarial studies of utilization behavior, VCMH (average medical‑hospital cost), and claim frequency and severity.
  • Provide technical support for negotiations of rate adjustments with operators, supplying analytical inputs and actuarial opinions.
  • Assess the financial impacts of portfolio movements.
  • Produce technical and executive reports to support Executive Management, Product, Sales and Market Intelligence teams.
  • Work collaboratively with Product, Data, Sales, Operations and Finance areas.
  • Contribute to the development of analytical models and the automation of actuarial analyses.

Requirements

  • Degree in Actuarial Science.
  • Experience in the Healthcare segment required, preferably at a benefits administrator or health plan operator.
  • Strong expertise in claims analysis and in calculating collective rate adjustments for group/adhesion contracts.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python and BI tools.
