About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise-level voice solutions including Call Manager, Unity Connection, Emergency Responder, and VoIP endpoints
- Configure and support CUCM clusters, voice gateways, and endpoints in a multi-site environment
- Configure and support SIP trunks for call routing among sites and the PSTN
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, including advanced investigation and troubleshooting of complex voice issues
- Monitor CUCM cluster health, performance, and availability; document issues and recommend corrective actions
- Support PMO, NOC, and Installations support groups
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity/Information Assurance teams to ensure CUCM security, integrity, standards, and compliance
- Lead enterprise voice projects, migrations, technology refreshes, deployments, and implementations
- Support patching, vulnerability management, and configuration changes
- Provide cross-training across enterprise voice teams and Tier 2/Tier 3 personnel
- Develop and maintain system designs, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
- Ensure high availability, failover, and contingency capabilities for enterprise CUCM
- Research, investigate, and resolve voice incidents and outages; provide status updates using incident-management and ticketing systems
- Participate in technology research, evaluations, and solution development with industry partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of expertise and hands-on experience with CUCM solutions in a large enterprise environment
- 7 years’ experience with CUCM; Versions 14 or 15 preferable
- Strong knowledge and experience with Cisco voice gateways (VG410, 420, 450)
- Knowledge of CUCM best practices and security, including TLS, SRTP, and certificates
- Senior-level knowledge of Call Manager, Unity Connection, SIP trunking, PSTN connectivity, and call routing
- Familiarity with third-party integration, including Microsoft Teams
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS routers, switching, and SBC/Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE)
- Strong written and verbal communications
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications, including wiring, cross connects, demarcation points, and circuits
- Cisco certifications preferred: CCNA-VOICE, CCNP Collaboration, or CCIE Collaboration
- Solid team player with ability to mentor
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
- Subject to random drug screens throughout employment
