About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, and deploy new features and enhancements across ReactJS front-end and Python/FastAPI back-end layers.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs with proper validation, error handling, versioning, and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
Develop responsive, accessible front-end interfaces adhering to CBO UX standards and Section 508 accessibility requirements.
Implement and manage data models, queries, migrations, and stored procedures in PostgreSQL with attention to performance and integrity.
Operate within CBO's trunk-based development workflow, committing small, frequent, tested changes with short-lived branches and feature flags.
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives, collaborating with CBO engineers, product owners, and analysts.
Package applications with Docker and support deployment of containerized workloads to AWS (ECS, EKS, or equivalent).
Investigate and resolve defects, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities across the stack; proactively reduce technical debt.
Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and regression tests (pytest, Jest, React Testing Library, or equivalent).
Maintain accurate technical documentation including API docs, data-model diagrams, and architecture decision records.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 5 years of professional full stack software development experience.
Demonstrated proficiency with Python, FastAPI, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, and Docker.
Experience deploying and troubleshooting applications on AWS.
Experience working within CI/CD pipelines and trunk-based development.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
AWS Certified Developer – Associate is preferred.
