Key responsibilities & impact- Provide medically credentialed instruction and operational support in a Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC) environment.
- Deliver standardized, high-fidelity medical training, operating simulation systems, and maintaining certifications.
- Support training execution in accordance with contractual performance standards.
- Deliver TC3 training across all four tiers: ASM/Tier I, CLS/Tier II, CM/Tier III, and CP/Tier IV
- Instruct 68W Combat Medic sustainment training and CLS initial/sustainment training to non-medical personnel.
- Conduct training in classroom, laboratory, and field training/evaluation environments.
- Maintain proper instructor-to-student ratios per MEDCoE directives.
- Assess students' critical thinking and psychomotor skills under high-fidelity simulated conditions.
- Utilize approved scenario-based training per course Training Circulars.
- Assess students using grading sheets for individual scenarios.
- Operate MSTC systems and perform preventive maintenance on assigned medical training equipment.
- Maintain training records, student evaluations, and AAR documentation.
- Participate in Quality Control Plan (QCP) activities including peer observations and self-assessments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Former 68W or 18D Noncommissioned Officer (NCO), Advanced Leader Course (ALC) Graduate
- Former Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) 8404 or Navy Independent Duty Corpsman, E-6 or above
- Former Air Force 4NOX1 or Aerospace Medical Service (4NOX1), E-6 or above
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN), Physician Assistant (PA), or Physician (MD/DO)
- National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) at the EMT level or higher
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification (preferred)
- Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certification (preferred)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (preferred)
- Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) provider or instructor certification (preferred)
- Experience with medical simulation TADSS (e.g., SimMan 3G, MTC2, Cut Suit) (preferred)
- Prior MSTC or medical simulation training center experience (preferred)
- Experience with moulage techniques and theatrical special effects for high-fidelity scenarios (preferred)
- Familiarity with TC 8-800 tables and Deployed Medicine curriculum (preferred)
