About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the primary contact to partnerships and Energy Advocates: Serve as the main contact for partners and community-based Energy Advocates, leading biweekly meetings with community teams.
  • Act as a liaison with All In Energy teams to ensure coordination and completion of administrative tasks.
  • Prioritize amplifying community voices to identify barriers and solutions, gathering insights to enhance the program.
  • Build trust-based relationships with community leaders and residents by centering lived experiences and promoting equitable participation in clean energy programs.
  • Customize partnership support to meet each community's specific cultural, linguistic, and accessibility needs while ensuring historically underserved populations have meaningful opportunities to shape outreach strategies and program implementation.
  • Train and provide coaching to community-based Energy Advocates: Provide training and coaching to community-based Energy Advocates in planning community engagement, tracking activities, and implementing outreach strategies.
  • Support them in identifying marketing needs, promoting energy efficiency programs, and responding to community feedback.
  • Offer troubleshooting and access to learning opportunities, and assist in planning and leading segments of Community First Partnership training.
  • Guide Energy Advocates engaging with small business owners, tabling at events, and door-to-door canvassing to promote energy efficiency and clean energy.
  • Foster inclusive engagement practices that prioritize language access, cultural responsiveness, and equitable outreach to renters, low-to-moderate income households, immigrants, and communities historically excluded from clean energy investments.
  • Develop outreach strategies: Collaborate with Program and Communications teams to create and support outreach strategies that engage residents, particularly underserved groups, such as through local communication channels and in-person engagement.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing and troubleshooting among communities on outreach effectiveness, and provide quarterly sessions for communities to reflect and refine their strategies.
  • Support outreach efforts that reduce barriers to participation and elevate community-informed approaches that increase accessibility, representation, and trust in clean energy programs across diverse populations.
  • Educate the community and external stakeholders : Represent the organization by speaking at conferences and presenting to community groups, funders, and other stakeholders.
  • Document and share impactful examples of our work to build awareness and excitement around our mission.
  • Highlight the importance of racial, economic, and environmental justice in clean energy access while uplifting stories and successes from frontline and historically underserved communities.
  • Data tracking and reporting: Using our database systems, share progress with community teams to evaluate impact.
  • Track community teams’ participation metrics such as attendance and timely budget report submission.
  • Analyze participation trends and community feedback to help identify inequities, outreach gaps, and opportunities to improve program accessibility and engagement among historically underserved populations.
  • Support All In Energy’s mission with miscellaneous projects, as needed: Contribute to All In Energy’s mission through various projects, supporting or leading intra- and interdepartmental initiatives based on capacity and expertise.
  • This may include hiring committees, DEI or professional development committees, and revising training materials, with responsibilities evolving as expertise grows.
  • Contribute to fostering an inclusive organizational culture grounded in equity, collaboration, continuous learning, and community accountability.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Passionately embraces the mission of All In Energy with a strong commitment to addressing global climate change, equitable clean energy access, or racial, economic, and environmental justice
  • 1–3 years of professional experience in community engagement, outreach, partnership development, or related work
  • Experience working with historically underserved communities, including low-to-moderate income and/or majority-minority communities
  • Strong meeting facilitation, relationship-building, and communication follow-up skills
  • Experience collaborating with partners or stakeholders toward shared goals
  • Comfort using data analysis and reporting tools to evaluate impact and inform decisions
  • Proven ability to take initiative, learn quickly, and creatively problem-solve
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working independently and as a part of a dynamic nonprofit organization
  • Comfort using Google Workplace applications (i.e. Sheets, Docs, Drive, Gmail)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel throughout Massachusetts; valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle required
  • Available for occasional evenings or weekends for community events
  • Successful completion of a background check and 4-panel drug test
