About the role
- Manage a team of software engineers, supporting their growth and development
- Partner with Product and Design to plan, prioritize, and deliver roadmap initiatives
- Ensure high-quality, reliable releases through strong technical and operational practices
- Create clarity around goals, ownership, and delivery expectations across projects
- Foster a culture of feedback, learning, and continuous improvement
- Participate in technical discussions and architecture reviews to guide decisions
- Help shape and refine our engineering processes as the company scales
- Collaborate with other engineering leads to align on best practices and shared priorities
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience managing engineers, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with enough technical depth to participate in design discussions and support the team’s work across our stack
- Track record of leading teams that ship high-quality, user-facing software
- Ability to balance technical context with delivery focus and team empowerment
- Strong communication and organizational skills; clear, transparent collaborator
- Empathy for developers and passion for creating environments where engineers thrive
- Experience improving processes around planning, testing, releases, and team rituals
- Interest in AI/LLM-powered development tools and open-source software
