About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Configure, administer, and optimize SAS Viya and SAS Grid environments;
Design and deploy infrastructures in Microsoft Azure (AKS, NetApp, Key Vault, VM Scale Sets, Synapse, PostgreSQL, Virtual Networks);
Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform;
Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, Ansible, Bash);
Ensure platform security (Azure Entra ID, RBAC, NFS4 ACL);
Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Azure Repos, GitHub Actions);
Monitor performance and reliability using tools (Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, Grafana, OpenSearch);
Design modular, scalable architectures with reusable components;
Integrate Azure data services (Data Lake, Synapse, SQL Database) with SAS environments;
Collaborate within an Agile framework and contribute to backlog management and sprint deliveries.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Senior experience in platform engineering, SAS, and cloud computing;
Demonstrated expertise in:
- configuration and administration of SAS Viya and SAS Grid;
- Microsoft Azure ecosystem and cloud architecture;
- infrastructure as code (IaC) (Terraform);
- automation and scripting.
Strong experience with:
- DevOps and CI/CD practices;
- cloud security and identity management;
- monitoring and observability tools;
- Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Technical skills:
- Cloud: Azure (AKS, NetApp, Key Vault, Synapse, PostgreSQL, VNets);
- Scripting and automation: PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, Ansible, Bash;
- DevOps: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI/CD;
- Security: Azure Entra ID, RBAC, NFS4 ACL;
- Monitoring: Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, Grafana, OpenSearch;
- Data integration: Azure/SAS (Data Lake, Synapse, SQL Database).
Language skills:
- French: Advanced
- English: Intermediate
Please note that intermediate-level English is required due to the nature of the tasks, including regular communication with clients outside of Québec.
