About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- As a control systems engineer, you’ll work as part of a technical project team on technically challenging and interesting projects, mostly within the nuclear industry, to deliver technical documentation, hardware, and software to clients.
- Produce requirements and design documents related to the project scope;
- Create testing documents as needed;
- Write code for PLCs, HMIs, and SCADAs (e.g., Schneider-Electric, Siemens);
- Run rounds of testing as required pertaining to the project scope.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree (or similar post-secondary education) in computer science or engineering, with demonstrated academic excellence;
- Minimum of 4 years of experience developing and testing control systems;
- Experience creating engineering documentation;
- In-depth knowledge of PLCs and SCADA programming and configuration, including familiarity with several IEC61131 languages;
- Confidence in client-facing situations;
- Results-driven and flexible, with a strong sense of ownership of tasks.
- Extra edge: Professional Engineer licence in Ontario (or pursuing); Experience in the nuclear industry; Commissioning and installation experience; Ability to design instrumentation and control systems, and familiarity using electrical drafting tools.
