About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare proposal responses for high-priority, high-complexity business development opportunities
  • Work independently and with clinical subject matter experts to create customized responses and Sponsor budgets
  • Support internal and external client calls and meetings, including budget reviews and questions
  • Provide strategic input on budgeting approaches
  • Understand and share proposal requirements
  • Develop proposal content with internal stakeholders in line with RFP/RFI requirements
  • Summarize key information and document assumptions
  • Review final proposals for Sponsor expectations and quality
  • Maintain proposal tools, templates, graphics, and experience tables
  • Assist with RFIs and Statement of Work development
  • Generate and refine CRO costings in Alimentiv tools
  • Obtain pre-award budgets from vendor and site partners
  • Verify rolled-up costing before executive review
  • Support costing amendments, updates, and project change orders
  • Attend and facilitate bid/no-bid, strategy, and project hand-off meetings
  • Support bid defenses, presentations, and client meetings
  • Support internal project teams with client or contract issues
  • Coordinate with clinical teams and site feasibility
  • Develop or provide feedback on BD tools and generate BD reports
  • Provide booth and meeting support at conferences as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 1–3 years of related experience
  • Minimum post-secondary certificate/diploma (college, training institute, etc.)
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Experience with budget development within a CRO, clinical trials, or a similar regulated/complex environment is highly desirable
  • Previous budget-building experience in CRO and clinical trials is mandatory
  • Advanced user ability with Excel
  • Proficient with other Microsoft Office tools
  • High degree of detail orientation
  • Logical and process-thinking mindset
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management skills
