About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead Integrated Design Management efforts across multiple projects or buildings within a campus or region
Drive early alignment on critical systems, design assumptions, and high-cost scope elements
Maintain accountability of third-party design teams for design quality, schedule adherence, and decision readiness
Lead structured design reviews, decision-focused coordination meetings, and technical alignment discussions
Ensure consistent application of design gating and internal ADC project requirements, including CDE, CCL, technical bulletins, and risk tracking
Coordinate project risk registers from land enablement through turnover to Operations
Partner with Senior Construction Managers on construction sequencing, constructability, and execution needs
Support standardized design durations, milestones, and performance metrics
Mentor and provide functional and technical guidance to Integrated Design Managers and Associate Integrated Design Managers
Assist with project dashboards, quarterly updates, and leadership communications
Support customer interface activities during fit-out design and technical integration
Contribute to continuous improvement, KPI development, and refinement of IDM tools, workflows, and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent
9 or more years of experience managing complex commercial or mission-critical design programs
Strong data center or other technical industry design and construction background
Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and mentor junior team members
Deep understanding of design coordination, system integration, cost drivers, and constructability
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Smartsheets, and design management platforms
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel out of home market up to 25 percent; time on site varies by project need
