About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate mobile material handling equipment used for the packaging of finished product into crates or bundles
- Identify all processing problems on all equipment and report them to the Shift Supervisor responsible.
- Measure and record dimensional and physical properties of the product at predetermined periods of time
- Ensure all material storage areas, scrap storage areas and pipe storage areas are maintained in an orderly and clean manner.
- Assist in the movement and setting up of equipment into or out of the production areas.
- Assist in the startup of a production line and manufacture product to the required external and internal specifications.
- Building and packing pipe crates.
- Perform a variety of other tasks as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of high school diploma or practical equivalent.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
- Experience with plastic extrusion is a strong asset
- Knowledge of Health and Safety practices is necessary.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Must be flexible to work a bi-weekly rotating day and night shift schedule.
